The 2006 Dolcetto d’Alba Vigneto della Chiesa is a drop-dead gorgeous wine. This big, full-bodied red bursts from the glass with loads of vibrant dark cherries in a super-ripe yet beautifully-balanced style. It is not to be missed. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011. Seghesio, based in Monforte, makes excellent wines that capture the best of the soft textural elements that are the hallmark of the modern school in Piedmont.
