The 1991 Cote Rotie Champin Le Seigneur and the 1991 Cote Rotie Les Grandes Places are the two most impressive Cote Roties Gerin has produced in nearly two decades. The 1991 Cote Rotie Champin Le Seigneur displays a deep color, a sweet, herb and black-raspberry-scented nose, sweet, soft, ripe flavors, low acidity, and a ripe, round finish. Although not a blockbuster wine, nor particularly concentrated, it does possess plenty of finesse, a succulent texture, and an affable personality. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
