The 2015 Meursault Village had finished its malolactic in September and was awaiting racking. It has a well-defined bouquet, slightly chalky with a hint of lemon curd, gaining intensity whilst in the glass. The palate is well defined, quite spicy on the entry with hints of lemongrass and ginger, gently building in the mouth towards a phenolic, almost Viognier-like finish that's a joy. It will calm down by the time of bottling, lose some of its nascent feistiness...but hopefully not too much!
