The 2016 Moppa Shiraz includes bits of Petit Verdot and Viognier and was aged 13 months in predominantly French oak hogsheads (25% new). It's medium to full-bodied, with a rich, velvety mouthfeel and attractive notes of mocha, baking spices and bright cherry fruit. The ripe, softly dusty finish suggests there's enough stuffing for it to drink well over the next 6-7 years.

Nicely balanced between fresh and ripe fruit flavors of plum and blackberry, offering black tea, pepper and minerally details that lend appealing tension.
