The extraordinary 2001 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge continues to remind me of ripe vintages of the DRC Richebourg or La Tache. It is 100% destemmed, whereas those wines include 100% stems, but its extraordinary floral, wild mountain flower, black cherry, raspberry, and forest floor notes are noteworthy. It boasts a deep ruby color to the rim, gorgeous aromatics, a voluptuous palate, and a magnificent, 60-second finish. It is a beauty! P.S. For those who have them in the bottle, the final ratings for the 2002 Chardonnays are as follows: Belle Cote (96), La Carriere (97), Cuvee Indigene (95), Ma Belle Fille (96), Mon Plaisir (94), and Point Rouge (98).Tel.
