This dark-colored wine is a cut above. Profound aromas of intensely sweet cherries, raspberries, stones, and earth give way to a full-bodied, extremely feminine, and massively ripe and vibrant core of roses, cherries, and candied blueberries. Magnificent. Opulent and decadent, thick and ripe, yet remains very elegant and racy. A bit savage, with plenty of wild berry, dried herbs and currant aromas and flavors married to the deftly toasted oak accents. Balanced, full-bodied, with a long, silky finish. Best After 2003. -PM
