The estate’s 2005 Barbaresco Bric Turot shows off a super-ripe, rich expression of fruit, along with spices, minerals and French oak. The wine reveals considerable depth, with a long and polished finish. Dark raspberries, cherries, plums and flowers linger on the close. This is an exceptional Barbaresco from Prunotto. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025. I was very impressed with the wines I tasted from Prunotto this year. The Barolos and Barbarescos in particular are wonderful.
