Very dark and concentrated in appearance, Poliziano’s 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a rich and elaborate wine that delivers a high degree of concentrated fruit as well as oak spice and toast. The tannins are smooth, soft and enduring. This beautiful wine leaves a long sense of softness and richness on the close. The wine is 85% Prungnolo Gentile (Sangiovese) and 15% other grapes. It is aged in both new and neutral oak.

A bit shy on the nose, with ample cherry, raspberry, black pepper and earth flavors. This builds to the long finish, where a spice accent emerges. Shows fine balance but needs a little time.
