This tightly-knit, tannic, oaky, chocolatey-scented wine possesses a deep ruby/purple color, and tannic, medium-bodied flavors that exhibit promise, but are still compressed by the wine's acidity, wood, and tannin. There is good weight and volume in this vino da tavola, but it needs another 2-3 years of cellaring; it should keep for 10-15 years, but I do have some concerns about it drying out.
