Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2008 Garnacha is profoundly scented of raspberry preserves, kirsch and dried mulberries with an undercurrent of fruit cake, baking spices, mandarin peel and dried rose petals. Very full bodied, concentrated and opulent in the mouth, the generous spiced-berry flesh is well supported by a medium to firm level of finely grained tannins and enlivening acidity. The finish is long and layered. Delicious now, it should continue to cellar to 2018+. Burge Family Winemakers currently do not have a USA importer.
