The 2000 Condrieu Coteau Chery exhibits good ripeness, body, and flavor, but it requires drinking over the next year to take advantage of its moderately intense nose of apricot and honeysuckle. Although medium-bodied and very good, the 2000 is not as profound as past vintages. Perret's 2000 Condrieus are significantly lighter and less concentrated than his 1999s and 1998s, raising the specter of high yields, even for this meticulous, quality conscious grower/winemaker.
