The Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres is elegant. Its aromas exhibit acacia blossoms, grilled nuts, and wood spices. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied, flavorful wine offers well-defined mineral and hazelnut flavors. While not very dense, it appears to be harmonious. 1997's tell-tale alcoholic warmth was detectable in its otherwise deliciously oak-imbued finish, lowering my score.
