A "Sauternes-style dessert wine," the 2016 Nightingale is a blend of 55% Sémillon and 45% Sauvignon Blanc. Pale lemon-yellow in color, it gives up notes of wet wool, lemon marmalade, pineapple and lime cordial with a waft of ginger ale. As sweet wines go, this is relatively dry (just 50 grams per liter of residual sugar) with a gorgeous satiny texture, bags of candied citrus fruit flavors and good length. 300 cases were made.
