The 2006 Chardonnay exhibits toasty oak and poached pear aromas. Medium-bodied, on the palate the wine is smoothly textured with nectarine and white peach making a presence. Lean in style, with crisp acidity, it has a moderately long finish. Xanadu’s white wines from the cool-climate Margaret River GI in Western Australia showed considerably better than their reds.
