The 1988 offering is deeply colored, with an intense nose of jammy black cherries, cedar, and Provencal herbs. In the mouth, there is exceptional richness, a big, full-bodied, brawny texture, and an explosively fruity, luscious, voluptuous finish. Drink this terrific wine over the next 6-7 years.
