My least favorite wine, but an interesting one, is the 2007 Les Hautes Terraces, 100% Syrah aged 12 months in demi-muids. This is a full-bodied, deep purple-colored wine, but for me, never has the complexity and aromatic interest of the other wines from Amourier. Nevertheless, it is substantial in size, and coats the palate, and while monolithic, is satisfying in its bigness and fleshiness. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. Consistently top-flight Vacqueyras, there are now three cuvees of Vacqueyras as well the 100% Syrah vin de pays Les Hautes Terraces being produced at Domaine des Amouriers.
