An excellent estate, Villa Cafaggio fashioned four impressive wines in 1990. The most flattering, supple, and easily drinkable wine of this quartet is the 1990 Chianti Classico. The medium ruby color does not suggest the intense, jammy, cherry perfume and stylish, lush, supple, medium-bodied flavors that the taster encounters. This decadent, round, velvety-textured Chianti is a real turn-on. It is reminiscent of a lighter-styled Chateau Lafleur from Pomerol! Drink it over the next 4-5 years. These four offerings are impressive! Importer: F.W.I. (Fine Wines International), Rutherford, NJ.
