The Eastern Exposures Zinfandel is meant to be consumed within its first 5-7 years of life. It is a blend of softer, more supple cuvees from the estate vineyard. The 1993 exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, and a rich, sweet nose of berry fruit, spices, and oak. With excellent concentration and ripeness, as well as an expansive, chewy palate, this velvety-textured, medium to full-bodied Zinfandel should drink well for the next 7-8 years. As anyone who has followed Storybook Mountain's wines over the last decade knows, they are among the longest-lived Zinfandels made in California. Storybook Mountain's style has always aimed for long-lived Zinfandels that in some vintages begin life too austerely, a deficiency that proprietor Jerry Seps has been rectifying by producing a more user-friendly, softer Zinfandel without sacrificing the 10-15 years of aging potential his top cuvees possess.Tel.
