Impressive is the 1999 Zinfandel Eastern Exposures. The addition of 4% Viognier no doubt accounts for the more perfumed, intense aromatic profile (although I could not detect any Viognier characteristics). Elegant, powerful, rich, and medium to full-bodied, with stylish black currant, cherry, and blackberry flavors, an excellent texture, sweet tannin, adequate acidity, and a pure, concentrated finish, this beautifully etched Zinfandel can be drunk now and over the next 10-12 years.
