The 2011 Cotes du Ventoux La Quintessence Blanc (same blend and elevage as the 2012) is similarly-styled, yet slightly more straightforward and linear, with a tad less vibrancy to the fruit. Nevertheless, these are superb whites that are more than reasonably priced. Easily one of my favorite estates from the up-and-coming Ventoux region, Chateau Pesquie is run by the talented brothers, Alexandre & Frederic Chaudiere.
