The 2009 Willow Creek Cuvee bursts from the glass with layers of dark fruit. This plummy, generous red offers gorgeous balance and an accessible, easygoing personality. The generous, open fruit will provide plenty of pleasure over the next few years. The Willow Creek Cuvee is 50% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre and 20% Syrah sourced from Denner and James Berry. The Grenache and some of the Syrah was aged in 500 liter barrels, while the Mourvedre was fermented with whole clusters and aged in barrique. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.
