Cecil De Loach was famous for his Zinfandels when he owned De Loach Winery, and he shows his deft hand with this wine. It’s not one of those kick-butt Zins, but instead it is balanced and medium-bodied, just a little heavier than Pinot Noir, with fine fruit and spice. What a great food wine.——S.H.(12/1/2006)—— 87
