The 2014 Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes suffered a little less hail damage than Beaune Grèves in this year. It has a well defined, quite pure bouquet with hints of yellow flowers tincturing the citrus fruit that is neatly folded into the oak. The palate is well balanced, quite rounded on the entry with tropical fruit (pineapple and guava), just a touch of lemongrass towards the nicely balanced, modest finish. This is a fine Beaune Bressandes to enjoy over the next decade.
