The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino is a rich and luscious wine that pulls you in with the first sip. The bouquet is very polished and bright with a wonderful aromatic presentation that spans from red cherry to blackberry and from dark spice to grilled herb. There's an impressive sense of harmony on the bouquet. The mouthfeel is slightly more abrupt and crisp with a clear streak of acidity that is so characteristic of Sangiovese. That zesty crispness makes this an excellent choice to pair with a hearty Tuscan meal.
