A good value, the 2005 Joshua may be even better than my score suggests. A tank-aged blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Mataro, and 10% Shiraz, its uplifted aromatics jump from the glass offering scents of blue, red, and black fruits, pepper, incense, and spice. Crisp, elegant, medium-bodied, richly fruity, and precise as well as linear, it is a tasty red to drink over the next 2-3 years. Importer: Dan Philips, The Grateful Palate, Oxnard, CA; tel.
