The 2011 Chablis Grand Cru les Clos has a very expressive, flinty bouquet that is beautifully defined. Even having been opened after two days, this is very fresh and as Beno?t Droin commented, it needed this period of time to address its reduction. The palate is very clean and vibrant on the entry with citrus lemon, dried peach and plenty of sea salt; it gains depth towards the finish with a dash of spice that sets the mouth tingling with pleasure. This is perhaps the strongest offering from Beno?t Droin this vintage.
