The 2006 Mestizaje, a blend of 70% Bobal, and the balance Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Cabernet Sauvignon, went through malolactic fermentation in seasoned French oak where it remained for a further 6 months of aging prior to bottling without fining or filtration. Deep crimson-colored, it reveals a complex perfume of cedar, spice box, mineral, red cherry, black cherry, and blackberry. Ripe, sweet, and layered, with a lengthy finish, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 4-6 years.
