Another wine that's showing plenty of oak, the 2012 Syrah Bossman incorporates 7% Viognier and saw 26 months in 70% new French oak. Elegant, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, with terrific purity of fruit, it gives up terrific notes of creme de cassis, graphite, licorice and toasted spice on the nose. While it doesn't have a massive mid-palate, it has enough tannic bite to benefit from short term cellaring and should have at least a decade of overall longevity.
