The 2015 Syrah Bossman is a ripe, pleasure-bent wine that was one of my favorites among this lineup from Sanguis. The wine wafts from the glass with heady aromas of kirsch, fruit liqueur, spice, raw cocoa, dried flowers (there's some Viognier in the blend) and tar. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, expansive and velvety, with a generous core of sun-kissed fruit and light tannins that gently assert themselves on the finish.
