The generic 1994 Puligny-Montrachet is an attractive village wine with plenty of finesse, medium body, a refreshing buttery popcorn-like scent and taste, and fresh acidity. It needs to be drunk over the next several years. The three offerings reviewed in this segment are only a small sample of the range of wines made by Louis Carillon and his sons.
