The 2021 Berncasteler Doctor Riesling Sp?tlese opens with a fascinating, pure, intense and flinty bouquet with very elegant nectarine and white peach aromas intermingled with notes of crushed rocks and herbs. Very complex. Bottled with a moderate 60 grams per liter of residual sugar, this is a crystal clear, fresh, very long and salty Doctor Sp?tlese that will divide the freaks from the Grauburgunder drinkers. The acidity is razor-sharp and will certainly not be everyone's cup of tea, but it leads to an electrifying finish with concentrated lime and lemon aromas.
