The 1992 Pinot Noir Carneros reveals a Burgundy-like nose in its spice, cherry, and vanilla aromas. The wine displays a beautiful aromatic and flavor profile, medium body, excellent ripeness, and a soft, velvety-textured feel. It should drink well for 3-4 years.No one in California has made as much progress with the temperamental Pinot Noir grape as Robert Mondavi. The non-Reserve bottlings, which must give Burgundy producers nightmares, are excellent wines.
