Although Bitouzet's wines start off life slowly, they have proven to be ageworthy. The tight 1992s reveal elegance, rich, ripe fruit, and crisp acidity. The 1992 Meursault-Les Perrieres is the most backward wine in this quartet. Made from the youngest vines, it possesses the highest acidity, some leanness, and plenty of underlying fruit, body, and character. This wine will benefit from another 1-2 years of bottle age; and should last for 7-8 years. Importer: Select Vineyards, Neal Rosenthal, New York, NY.
