The 2014 Aria di Caiarossa comes from one of the most challenging vintages in two decades, with a lot of rain and lower than average temperatures. As a result, a lot of the fruit was greener than usual, and there is no mistaking that fact when tasting this wine. You'll get green tannins, and the mouthfeel is thin, although soft. The alcohol content is a mere 13%. It's a delicate wine. The blend is Cabernet Franc (53%), Alicante (22%), Merlot (20%) and Syrah (5%). Some 26,000 bottles were made.
