The 2015 Vega Sindoa Tempranillo (100% Tempranillo and not oaked) is a tasty proposition. Deep ruby/plum-colored, with notes of strawberry and peppery blackcurrant fruit, the wine has medium body, lush opulence and a round, juicy finish. It’s dry, hedonistic and best consumed over the next year.

Another terrific wine (keep in mind that you can probably find these wines for less than $9 a bottle) is the 100% Tempranillo 2014 Vega Sindoa Tempranillo. This is a naked, unoaked example of Tempranillo meant to be drunk in its first one to two years of life. Made almost like an unoaked Pinot Noir with soft, easy, red currant and pomegranate fruit notes, and a touch of darker currants, the wine is medium-bodied, dark ruby, fresh and straightforward, but delicious. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
