Big and bold, the Romanelli 2016 Montefalco Sagrantino ultimately shows a more traditional side, with less of the oak interference of others. Dried cherry fruit and spice make an appearance with cumin and black pepper. Some dry tones are in there too and even a touch of black olive. This is a pretty, streamlined expression of 8,000 bottles.
