Durieu's 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is 70% Roussanne, with 20% Grenache Blanc and 10% Picpoul Blanc. Boasting flamboyant aromas of guava, pineaple and tangerine, it's medium to full-bodied, ripe and round but not soft or mushy, with an ample feel, palate presence and a long, silky finish.

The plump, succulent 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is mainly Roussanne. It offers up attractive scents of ripe pear and melon, accented by hints of crushed stone and cooling mint. Medium to full-bodied, with an attractively creamy-silky texture, it lingers easily on the finish.

Durieu has fashioned an excellent Roussanne-based 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc that frames mixed citrus with hints of crushed stone. Full-bodied, silky and lush in feel, it's a fun quaffer to drink over the near term, although it has a bit more structure and substance than many.

Mainly Roussanne, Durieu's 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a concentrated, full-bodied effort that melds lively green apple, lime and peach notes with a rich, creamy texture and a long, zesty finish. It should drink well for 6-7 years.

The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc, a blend of 80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc and 5% Clairette spends just six months in stainless steel yet is reasonably rich. The pineapple fruit hints at truffled complexity to come, broadens out just enough on the mid-palate, then tightens back up on the brine and citrus pith-tinged finish.
