Flinty to begin, the 2019 Chardonnay Tinaquaic Vineyard offers scents of apples, lime peel and stony notions. The medium-bodied palate is citrus driven yet gently rounded in texture with a touch of bitterness emerging on the finish.

The 2017 Chardonnay Tinaquaic Vineyard opens with oaky notes of cedar and toast over hints of popcorn with quince, baked yellow apple and white apricot. The medium-bodied palate offers concentrated toasty fruits and a juicy finish.

The 2016 Chardonnay Tinaquaic Vineyard reveals aromas of fresh apples, white flowers and struck match. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, with edgy acids and nice concentration but a slightly soapy finish that may just be due to its comparatively recent bottling. I'd expect it to show better in six months' time.

The 2015 Chardonnay Tinaquaic Vineyard offers up fresh peaches and lemon pastilles on the nose with touches of marzipan, allspice and chalk dust. Medium-bodied, elegantly crafted and with a nice suggestion of grip to the texture, the stone fruit and citrus flavors are backed by a racy line and it finishes on a toasty/savory note.

Even better, the 2014 Chardonnay Tinaquaic Vineyard is a rich, medium to full-bodied, textured effort that offers lots of lemon curd, toasted bread, spice and sautéed peach aromas and flavors. Raised in 25% new French oak puncheons, it’s another incredibly high quality Chardonnay that has true depth and richness.
