Sampled from the vat, the 2017 Cotes du Rhone Jardin Secret offers up delicate aromas of Wild Berry Zinger tea and roses. It's medium to full-bodied but light on its feet, finishing bright and crunchy.

The Grenache-based 2016 Cotes du Rhone Jardin Secret features an herbal cast to its black cherry and plum notes. It's full-bodied and supple, offering lush, immediate drinkability but probably limited aging potential. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

The least interesting of the 2015 C?tes du Rh?ne from Montirius is the 2015 Cotes du Rhone Jardin Secret, a 100% Grenache cuvée from Sablet. It's ripe and creamy in texture and features hints of garrigue and dark fruit, but it could use more complexity and length.

The medium ruby colored 2014 C?tes du Rh?ne Jardin Secret (100% Grenache from vines around the village of Sablet) is a charming, mid-weight effort that offers light notes of passion fruits, violets and flowers. It’s a touch straightforward, but certainly enjoyable.

The character-filled 2012 C?tes du Rh?ne Jardin Secret is 100% Grenache that was raised all in tank. It offers up a perfumed, pretty and perfumed style to go with notes of sweet red berries, strawberries, spice, garrigue and bramble on the nose. This flows to a medium-bodied, soft, supple and decidedly Proven?al 2012 that’s best consumed over the coming 2-3 years.
