Barrel fermented in 20% new oak and aged 14 months in barrel, the 2009 Runholder Chardonnay has a moderate intensity of toasted almond and apricot notes over nuances of powdered ginger, apple slices and crushed biscuits. The full bodied palate gives mouth-filling ripe peach and toast flavors with crisp acidity and a long honey-nut finish. Drinking now, it should cellar to 2016.
