The 2022 Joshua is unbaked, and that accounts for the softness in the tannins and the gentleness of the fruit. There are notes of red cranberries, pomegranate jewels, strawberry, fresh mulberry from the tree in summer and a sprinkling of exotic spices. It has nice, mouth-filling fruit. It's not hugely complex, but it's wholesome and lovely. I like the chalky tannins. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

This 2021 Joshua is good. The fruit is tart and edgy, with rhubarb acidity and a satisfying raspberry pip core. Drink it in the short term to take full advantage of the bright fruit.

A Grenache-Mourvèdre-Shiraz blend, the 2017 Joshua sees no oak in its élevage. It's fresh and vibrant, loaded with strawberry and raspberry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, with supple tannins, and ends on a note of tart red berries, lending it a very more-ish impression. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

A blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, the 2015 Joshua has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and youthfully restrained nose with notes of red and black currants, black cherries and black pepper, plus wafts of bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Medium to full-bodied, soft, silky and seductive in the mouth, it delivers a lot of flavor and great persistence.

Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Joshua has a lovely, expressive nose of ripe black cherries, black raspberries and red roses with pepper and Chinese five spice hints. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with lively red berry and spice flavors supported by satiny tannins and finishing with great length.
