A blend of Grenache, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mataro, the 2007 The Fergus gives a medium-deep garnet color and evolving aromas of dried mulberries and raspberry liquor over spice box, anise, cumin, vanilla and tobacco leaf. Medium to full-bodied with a medium level of soft tannins, it offers refreshing acidity, good concentration and a long warm berry laced finish. Drinking now, it should stay fresh to 2015.
