Dried herbs and ripe cherries feature on the nose of the 2017 Cabernet Merlot. It's medium-bodied, taut and crisp, with some fine-grained tannins that provide a savory edge to the dry, softly dusty finish.

Medium to deep-garnet colored, the 2010 Cabernet Merlot is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc that is beautifully perfumed by evolving blackberry and kirsch aromas amid an undercurrent of potpourri, sandalwood and cinnamon stick. Medium-bodied, the elegantly weighted palate offers a great intensity of mature berry and spice-box flavors with velvety tannins and just enough acid to lend freshness through the long finish. Medium to deep garnet-colored, the 2009 Cabernet Merlot reveals an evolving nose of dried mulberries, stewed plums and creme de cassis with touches of dried mint, cigar boxes and sandalwood. Medium-bodied with just enough mature fruit flavors and a medium level of chewy tannins and balanced acid, it finishes with decent length. Drink it now through 2017. A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, the 2008 Cabernet-Merlot was aged in French oak, 30% new, for 10 months. Deep garnet in color, it offers pronounced notes of black currant cordial, dark chocolate, menthol and smoked meat with underlying tapenade and toast hints. Medium-bodied, it has a great concentration of taut, muscular blackberry and savory flavors with a solid backbone of medium to firm grainy tannins and crisp acid, finish long and layered.
