The 2000 Chardonnay Grand Select, made from Fritz Weininger's oldest Chardonnay vines (35-40 years old), was vinified and aged entirely in French oak barrels, 1/3 of which were new. Its spicy, buttery aromas lead to a medium-bodied, internationally-styled personality filled with oak, lactic qualities, vanilla, spices, and butterscotch. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
