A selection of the best barrels of the year, the 2006 Black Label Shiraz is a blend of South Australia fruit: 45% Barossa, 40% McLaren Vale and 15% Langhorne Creek. Very deep garnet-purple in color, it presents intense black cherry and warm blackberry aromas with supporting notes of espresso, anise, damp loam and tree bark. Full-bodied, crisp and tight knit, it is still very primary and youthful, with medium-firm finely grained tannins and a long earthy finish. Consider drinking it 2012 to 2020+.
