The 2007 St.-Peray Cuvee Prestige is slightly grapier than the 2006. Both possess aromas of honeyed citrus, rose petals, quince, and crushed rocks. These full-bodied efforts display no oak influence (although I suspect some barrel fermentation and elevage were utilized). Both should be consumed in their first 3-4 years of life.
A young, promising producer, Stephane Robert continues to fashion beautifully rich, full-bodied, classic wines reflective of their terroirs.
