The 2007 Lagrein Grieser Prestige Line is a big, super ripe wine packed with fruit. Initially somewhat over the top, the wine calms down a bit in the glass as the minerality emerges to balance the opulence of the fruit and the oak. With some air, this is a gorgeous, gorgeous Lagrein that emphasizes a rich expression of fruit over some of the more varietal notes that are characteristic of this variety.
