The impressive 2007 Costieres de Nimes Cuvee Tradition white, a blend of 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne, tastes like a mini-white Hermitage. Exhibiting white currant, quince, and licorice notes, medium body, serious flavors, good glycerin as well as depth, and an elegant style, it can be drunk over the next several years.
Another top bargain producer in the Costieres de Nimes (they also make the wines reviewed under the moniker Mas des Bressades), Mas Carlot fashions very good to excellent, occasionally outstanding wines that all sell for a song.
