My favorite is actually the 2011 Mas Carlot Costieres de Nimes Cuvee Tradition (rose), which is largely sold out, but what a wonderful wine, made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Light salmon in color with an orange hue, the wine is rich, medium-bodied and loaded with flavor. It is a sleeper of the vintage for roses.
One of my favorite estates from the Costieres de Nimes is Mas Carlot. The red wines in 2011 are not as strong as what was achieved in 2009 and 2010, but they are still well-made.
