The dark ruby/plum-tinged 2008 Grenache l’Ange Rouge (15.8% alcohol) is a sexy, opulent effort oozing with raspberries and kirsch liqueur. Silky smooth, full-bodied, and seductive, drinking this irresistible red is reminiscent of liquified candy. Consume it over the next several years. I was impressed last year with this winery’s 2007s and 2006s, and they have continued to build on that portfolio with their current group of 2008s and late-released 2007s.
